the concert:
J.S. Bach's great masterpiece sung in German and performed as Bach might have performed it in Leipzig on Good Friday in 1724 for the first time, and later in 1749 - just one year before his death. Featuring New Trinity Baroque's incredible vocal soloists, chamber vocal ensemble and orchestra, joined by the Canterbury Choir.
